Mr. Orange (goldfish) got columnaris and this caused it to clear up in 3 days! Highly recommend this for Flavobacterium columnare infection!
My tang had Popeye !! I thought he was sure to die ! Eye hanging out of his head! Bought this stuff follow the directions gave two treatments and he is completely recovered eye back where it should be! Eating and being the bully he has always been!
You're one of the smart individuals that searched for the active ingredient to find a cheaper generic version of Seachem's holy grail of Fish medication, Kanaplex. I was apprehensive at first but the stuff really works. I can't say if it works better than the Seachem's name brand product (because that works well too). But the effectiveness is definitely there. There is a slight difference in the texture of the product. Seachem's is more salty? If that makes sense.. and this product was more fluffy. I got a scooper / spoon that is larger than Seachem's but I always weigh my fish's medicine with a jewelery scale (.001g) to be as accurate as possible. My only complaint and reason for 4-stars is, the price. If this is a generic, why are we paying more than Seachem's? This product is 10-grams for $25ish while Seachem is 5-grams for $10. Essentially, this product is 25% more expensive. Still it deserves 4 or 5 stars!
Received my product yesterday to find that there is no scoop in the box and now I have no idea how much medicine to give my fish
This kanamycin, Kana-Cura, is very good quality; it's definitely worth the price. I have been using Kanaplex for years, Seachem is a trustworthy company that makes quality products; but I am now definitely convinced Kana-Cura is better and more effective. I don't know if it's just more pure or what. I've purchased it three times now. I noticed someone mentioned the difference that you use one scoop of Kana-Cura vs two scoops of Kanaplex. While that is true, the amount is actually the same: the scoop for Kana-Cura is twice the volume of the scoop for Kanaplex. I tested this using water. So the amount of powder per 10 gallons is the same. But still, for whatever reason, Kana-Cura is just better and more effective. I don't think I have ever gotten as good results with Kanaplex.
